Look mom "We are Jesus"

The kids have been watching the Primary songs videos.  They are really good at singing the songs.

The other night we got them in the bath and they were getting dressed.  They like to wear mine and Chad's big shirts to bed as their jammies.  Well on this night Parker was putting on his shirt and got one hand in the arm hole.  The other arm went through the head hole and down under his arm.  He came running to me and said, " Look mom, I am Jesus."  Peyton thought hey that was funny.  So he did it also.  I immediately started laughing.  I hollered at Chad to come and see what they were doing.  We were both laughing so hard.  Ami came around the corner and asked what was so funny.  We told her and she also busted up.  I then told Chad that we have failed as parents.  We are just grateful the sweet, innocent 3 year old's know and can recognize who Jesus is.  So maybe we are teaching them something.  We love them all and are glad they keep us laughing.

We are alive

I am the biggest blog slacker.  I just couldn't bring myself to update the blog, so I have alot to tell you about.

WHAT WE ARE UP TOO

As you all are probably aware of we moved to Gilbert.  Yes, back to the city.  I love it.  We are living in an apartment so we have 2 pools and a hot tub here on site.  I have always hated
swimming but down here it doesn't matter what size, shape or color you are you just get it and stay cool.  Needless to say we have spent quite a bit of time in the pool with the boys.  Carson is a really good swimmer.  Peyton holds onto a kick board with no floaties and jumps off the sides of the pool.  He is going to be a fish by the end of summer.  Parker is getting braver with swimming. He wasn't to sure of it at first but like to float by himself at times.  Gunner still isn't too sure about the whole thing, but goes along for the ride cuz that's where the rest of us are.

Chad works in Scottsdale back with Rummell Construction.  He is an estimator and puts together the bids.  He loves what he does and is pretty good at it also.  The first week he was doing new things on the computer program they use for estimating that nobody else could figure out.  All the people he worked with before are still there and he enjoys them all.

I am staying home with the boys and trying to keep them in control.  Trying to come up with activities to keep them busy and cool inside.  We have made a trip to Val Vista Lakes beach with some friends from the ward and had friends over to play.

GUNNER TURNS "1"

We celebrated Gunner's 1st birthday in the process of the move at grandma Cindy's and
grandpa Ron's.  We had enchiladas and cake and ice cream.  Grandpa Ric & Grandma Jann were even in town to come and celebrate with us.  He received many fun gifts from all the family.  A noisy lawn mower from his brothers (what was I thinking when I bought that), books, bath toys, and clothes.  Thank you everyone for the presents.  He sure enjoyed opening presents and also the famous "1" year old cake.  We can't believe he is already one but we are so happy that he is growing and developing like he should.  He is very big for being one and I get so many comments on his size from everyone.  He is our feisty little red head with a big red head attitude.  He causes lots of fights with his brothers and enjoys destroying all their Lego works of art.  We sure do love having him.

EASTER 2009

We all traveled up to my mom and dad's house in Snowflake for Easter.  It was fun to be with the whole family.  The kids played really well together and had fun coloring Easter eggs and also hunting for them.  Gunner had his first try at a bright blue peep and loved it.  Grandma made all the kids matching Easter outfits for church on Sunday.  They were very cute once again.

NASCAR 2009

Chad and I left the kids with my mom and dad and went to nascar both Friday and Saturday races.  It was lots of fun to see how fast the cars really go.

-----------------------------------------------------

Gunner has learned to walk now and is all over the place.  He has also mastered drinking from the straw.  Now there is one more person that gets to share the huge Doc's mug soda's.

-----------------------------------------------------

Ami has finally graduated from school.  Yippee!!!  We are so proud of her for the patience and hard work throughout the last two years.  Way to go Ami!!  Since all the family was here for her graduation all the kids wanted to go swimming.  Abbi, Marci, Ami and all the kids came over to go swimming.  It was lots of fun.  Thanks guys for the swim party.

-----------------------------------------------------

I took the kids to the park the other day and tried to get a few pictures of them.  The sun was especially bright and that explains all the squinting.  They had fun playing and it wore them out when we got home.

That's about it for now.  Just wanted to do a quick update and let you all know we are still here.

Carson figures out the move

Carson is having a really hard time about us moving to Mesa. Last night he was in tears, I was in tears and I think even his dad shed a few tears. He is really nervous about leaving all his cousins and his friends. Chad and I were trying our hardest to comfort him and let him know that he will meet new friends in Mesa at Church and at school and we didn't think he would have a problem meeting them. Carson then wipes his tears and says. "I know why we have to move. When you see mice in your house or have to find a new job you have to move." He then looks at his dad with a look like he has it all figured out and says, "Am I right dad." He is too smart and too cute. We are really trying our hardest to be happy in this situation but have to remind ourselves that Chad does indeed have a job and many others out their don't. Thanks Carson for reminding us that we do have a mouse and so we must leave.

Memories

I need to post the cute things the boys are saying and doing these day. The boys are too funny and come up with the cutest things. I told Chad I really need to start writing these down. So here goes.
We have made 2 trips to Mesa these past 2 weekends for Cade & Lacey's wedding. We stayed in hotel both weekends. Danny got us rooms at the Hilton so we were their for 2 nights. We walked in the first night and Peyton with huge eyes looks at me and says, mom is this our new house. It was too cute.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After that, we went to the elevator. Carson pushed the button and the doors opened. Peyton of course runs in with excitement. Chad and I were not very quick as we had the 4 kids and all the luggage in one trip. The doors start to close without anyone else making it inside. Peyton being the only one inside. His eyes were as big as they could get. He was scared to death about being in their by himself. Chad stuck his hand in the door to make the doors open back up. From then on, one would push the button to open the elevator and Peyton would immediately put his hand in front of the door so they would not shut on him.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Robert and Marci were blessing Harli on Sunday the 1st of March. Since Cade got married on Saturday with the reception down in Gilbert that night we had to make the decision of going Saturday late at night, or Sunday before the sun came up. Chad said he would rather go in the morning. We left the hotel at 5:30am. We put the kids in footed pj's at night. Sunday we woke them up and changed their diapers and loaded them in the car hoping they would fall back asleep. As we were coming across top of the world Peyton said he had to go #2. I told him to hold it we were going to stop at McDonalds in Globe. So we get to McDonalds and I take Carson & Peyton in to potty. Peyton however is scared to death of the toilet flushing. So I get Carson in his stall and I go in with Peyton to sit him on the potty to do his business. Carson tells me he is done and needs help. So I leave Peyton sitting on the potty and go to Carson's stall to help him. I hear Peyton's potty flush. I immediately think oh crap, Peyton is going to freak out. So I hurry and get Carson's pj's back up and Peyton potty flushes again. I was dying laughing by this time thinking of the terrified little boy that is sitting on this potty that is randomly flushing. So I hurry out of Carson's stall to go comfort Peyton and I met him out in the little hall type thing. He bailed off the potty cuz of the flushing. I was laughing so hard. I told him he had to get back on the potty so I could wipe his buns. He told me, no mommy that potty is scary. It scared me mommy. Needless to say we got him wiped and back in his pj's and I had a good laugh the whole day. When we got home from Eagar. We dropped Chad and the boys off at the house and my mom and I were going up to the hospital to see Grandma Evelyn, Chad is on the phone with his mom and is pointing to the bathroom. I told my mom to look and we hear the toilet flush and then out runs Peyton with his chonies and pants at his ankles. We all started laughing and it made the story that much funnier. We love you Peyton even if the potty is scary. Chad says has to have some type of phobia with the flushing potty. Chad came up with Comodaphobia.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Parker and Carson were playing Hide and Seek. I was folding laundry right there in my room. Parker runs in and says, "mom where's Carson." I told him I don't know he ran into the family room. He said, "no he didn't where is Carson." We went back and forth a few times this way. I finally said, "Parker I saw him run out mom's door. I know I am the mom and you are the son." He looked at me with his huge eyes and said, "no mom I am the boss."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
One last story and I am done for the night. Parker was picking on Peyton like usual. I said, "Parker." He turned and looked at me and said I am not Parker today I am Po-Po today. Only when it is convenient. Good one Po--Po.

Family Photo

Just a picture I found that I think is pretty darn cute of my little family.  They needed a picture of all the families in our ward for the primary bullitin board.  We did not have a very current one so we had to run over to Chad's parents before church one day and have his mom snap one of us.  She did great.

Accomplishments of a 10 month old

Gunner is 10 months old today.  Wow time flies.  Dr K. questioned me at his 9 month check up that 1) he wasn't holding his own bottle 2) He wasn't getting up on all fours 3) he wasn't really rolling a lot and 4) he hasn't sat up from being on his belly or back.  Being 25.12 pounds I told Dr K. he was just too chubby to roll and sit up.  Chad and I were just fine with him just sitting there being happy and being served by his brothers.  Well that appointment must have done it with Gunner.  Two weeks later he was sitting up from back or belly, holding his own bottle, becoming quite more active rolling everywhere and at 10 months he is crawling.  He is even starting to pull himself up to the couch.  We are so proud of him and all his accomplishments.  It is so fun to have a baby in the house and wonder what goes through their little heads.  Keep it up Gunner we are proud of you.

Happy Birthday to me

January 24th I celebrated my 29th birthday.  I was at work and got off at 12:30am.  Chad put the boys to bed at his moms  and called and met me at Denny's for breakfast at 12:30am.  When all my sisters are here we always go to Jerry's at midnight.  Chad stays home with kids and never goes with us.  So he decided since Denny's opened up that he would take me at midnight. It was fun and so good.  Nothing beats french toast at 12:30 in the morning.  Thanks Chad!!
